Inter Milan Away 1997/1998
Massimo Moratti looked to end all the woes of previous seasons by bringing in new star of football Ronaldo from FC Barcelona. With him and a few others like Simeone, Recoba and Taribo West, Inter managed to get themselves into the title challenge. The first time for them since 1989. Unfortunately due to a very controversial loss to Juventus, Inter came three points short and lost the Scudetto to Juventus. In later years when the Calciopollo scheme came to light, everybody new that Inter actually won that title.

The loss of the title did not bother Inter 10 days later. They faced Lazio Roma in the Uefa Cup final. Ronaldo delivered again scoring the only goal in the game. The won their third Uefa Cup in the last seven years. Ronaldo scored a whopping 25 league goals that season, something that Inter fans would only see again 10 years later with Ibrahimovic being the one that led the way for them.

This away shirt from 1997/1998 was very unique and one of the few in these colors for the club. The colors are grey and black with the club emblem printed into the chest.
